Clara Chacón

Clara Chacón (b. 1994) is a Bolivian multidisciplinary artist based in London, working across mixed media and animation. After studying Architecture in Bolivia, she moved to the UK, completing a BA (Hons) in Illustration Animation and an MA in Animation at Kingston University.

Having developed a visual metaphorical language, her practice is shaped by her expierence of neurodiversity and mental health.Through colour and mark-making, she reinterprets reality, exploring inner worlds, emotional states, and fragmented memory.
Working with materials such as oil pastels, gouache, acrylic, and watercolour, she experiments with the qualities of each medium to translate psychological experiences into visual form, inviting the viewer into an intimate and perceptual space.

Art is a journey of expression that moves through us and out into the world.
The Artist Corner is a place to celebrate that journey together.
