Depicting Light
Exploring Light in Art and Photography

About this event

Join artist Fabiola Retamozo in this experiential workshop that explores how artists see and translate light. As a multidisciplinary artist, her work focuses on line and space through painting, collaborative art, and performance. She believes art is one of the greatest tools to free the mind and enhance the creativity within ourselves.

In this special workshop, Fabiola will guide participants in using recycled materials to transform and shape light through different objects and translate these discoveries to create works of light!

After its spectacular success in 2016, London Lumiere festival is back in January 2018! For this year’s festival, we invite you to get creative and bring your plastic bottles to help us create an exciting eco friendly installation, which will be displayed in central London during the festival, returning to Royal Greenwich in February 2018.
Originally a concept of artist Thadian Pillai, you will be creating glittering, icicle like chandeliers made from white, blue or green plastic bottles.
It’s suitable for adults for all ages and children from 8+ and is a fantastic outing for the family and a chance to meet new people from the community.
A great opportunity for you to add to the magic of Lumiere.
