 Lucas Vedel

From Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Lucas Vedel started playing classical guitar at the age of 11, then went on to explore piano, bass, drums, flute, synthesisers and many string instruments.

After having studied recording and mixing techniques with Pablo Lopez Ruiz (Astor Piazzolla’s sound engineer), he went fully into music production.

During his years in Argentina, Lucas worked at various recording studios (Afro, La Orden del Círculo, Blue Noise), where he could use and experiment with first-class analogue gear.

In 2012, he was involved in the Pepsi Music and Quilmes Rock festivals, playing at the River Plate stadium alongside Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, Joan Jett & Kasabian.

In 2016, Lucas arrived in London, where he worked at studios such as The Church Studios, Metropolis, Goldsmiths, Abbey Road, 160DL, Noatune, Oblique Future Sounds & Big Limbo.

At night, he would play at venues such as Colour Factory, The Windmill, the Shacklewell Arms, Next Door Records, The George Tavern, Grow, Doña, Off The Cuff, MOT, Folklore, Paper Dress Vintage and many others with his bands Kōya Belharra (world music/alt rock) and Solid Wall (DJ duo with Pat Alvarez).

During a trip back to Argentina, Lucas studied arrangement and composition with Osvaldo Suarez and also released his first solo album, UNE.

He is now based in East London, working at his studio, Big Limbo, and 160DL Studios.
